Upcycled Vintage Suitcase

Once upon a time I lived in California. While living there I made a suitcase table. Not only did I love it but I often received complements on it from friends. When I relocated to Texas I only took with me what would fit into my vehicle so my beloved table was sold on craigslist.

Fast forward to last week, when I laid eyes on this baby at a antique store. Of course I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to make him into. I love pieces with history, but I also love pieces with unknown history. I mean who was Mr. Henry Szatko? I wonder what he would say if he walked in and saw his old suitcase there as a table. Was he an aspiring rock star and he traveled the world hoping to make it big? Was he a traveling shoe salesman? I guess I’ll never know in the meantime I’ll daydream.
