Upcycled Cds: Water Lilies

Artist Bruce Munro has a unique idea to upcycle CDs. He upcycle 65,000 CDs into giant water lilies in a pond in a park for his project called Water Lilies.

yep, cause this way it looks like they’re just heating the water and I don’t think the animals in there are going to like it. real water lilies would be better..

actually since the cd’s are reflecting the heat and light they are making nice cool shady spots in the pond. passive pool heaters are always black to absorb heat.

How do they float? Is there something atached to the bottom or do they float by themselves?
