These lamps are made from repurposed raw birch log pieces of different sizes and shapes. These lamps are beautiful, rustic and modern at the same time with the retro energy-efficient Edison light bulb on the top. On the side of each log, there is a blackened steel bar which is wired to act as one giant dimmer switch. The best? A touch on the steel bar illuminates the Edison bulb with four different levels of ambient light…so geeky!
These design lamps are made by Autumn Workshop, a Brooklyn based design and experimentation studio. They work primarily with discarded, reclaimed, and scrap materials.
At Recyclart, we simply love them …the lamps… :)
