    the plastic in zip ties disintegrates in sunlight. Use old, insulated, electrical wire, instead.

    I’ve made these out of old hoses and unfortunately most old hoses get soft as they age and will not make a basket that is structural, much less this tall, they just flop over. The hose pictured is still in good condition. Our idea was to try to make old hoses into a row of drip pots that could hooked up to the spigot.

    Wondering if this is a good project to call ‘recycled’, when it requires over 200 of the plastic zip ties, much of which is cut off the final piece and likely discarded?
