A very original Steampunk guitar made by Mark Dalzell. This custom guitar is made from clockwork gears, hand hammered brass, cloth wire and wood to show an alternate historical glimpse of a 19th century electric guitar. Nice !

Wait, is that supposed to be the pickup? There’s no point to this if it doesn’t play. :(
yes this guitar is working, but i can not find any link to listen the sound from it…
Looks very very nice ; i wonder how u managed to build it, and how long it took. But how r u gonna get the sound from it ?!
The wooden pickup in the middle is actually a fairly high powered humbucker covered in a mahogany veneer and brass wire. Using the red faucet handle you can move the pickup up and down to get it into whatever position you want. :) You can route the pickup out through through the onboard phaser and out to the mini Marshall amp or out through a regular 1/4″ jack to an amp. It took about 6 weeks to build.
Thanks Mark for these precisions ! Nice work !
Very nice, I want to make my own steampunk bass now!
If somebody sells a steampunk bass I would be interested to buy it
well now that’s a guitar ans probably if the coments above are all true that guitar have a hell of a sound dam… i wish i was able to play that guitar.
Very nice work. So, to steampunk a guitar it has to remain playable? Not just a sculpture but a art piece and a functional musical instrument? Thank you.
Awsome really like it and i agree with evangeline, if there is a steampunkbass i really wanna have it!
I’m impressed, I must say. Genuinely rarely can i encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and without a doubt, you’ve hit the nail on the head. Your concept is outstanding; the problem is something that too small individuals are speaking intelligently about. I am extremely happy i always stumbled across this during my try to discover something regarding this.
