whenever i see things made of recycled tires, all i can think of is how i gag when i go into the tire store – i can’t imagine that those things smell good -are are healthy :/

The term for the smell is ‘off gassing’ and occurs when tires are exposed to UV light – so yeah it would smell and the roof would burn toxicly if it caught fire as plenty of oxygen to mix with. Tires walls covered in plaster/render don’t off gas and don’t burn unless exposed.
I bet these tyres are under some kind of treatment. Personally I prefer roofing made of plastic with the same red color of ceramic, it seems recycled but I’m not sure (I hope it is).

uuuhhhhmmm not until there’s a fire and all that rubber burns……
nice idea…..but tend to agree about the smell, fire hazard……and, I think, a lot of heavy metals associated with Tyres?
