Repurposed… A neighborhood organization asked me to design and fabricate a “cornerstone” installation for a parking area the city was installing. The area is well known for its retro shops and visual interest. They donated the car in hopes that something cool could be done with it. The also asked me to create parking for “more bikes than cars” in the lot – which further shows their commitment to green thinking.
This was an amazingly satisfying job. The metal on metal cutouts for the headlights are a nod to the location of the work – the corner of 4th & cherry streets.
