Vintage, handmade, anything unique is in high demand.  With the recent trend of DIY, there are so many websites online where you can derive ideas for the home. One being the home click community where you can start working on the foundation of your home, before adding décor.  If you are an artist, these are great project ideas where you can add your spin to personalize it.  If you are just looking for a way to add a high-end art look to your living space, this is your reasonable answer.

1. Musical Walls

Materials needed:

  • Old records (I love looking at thrift stores for cheap, colorful records)
  • Oven
  • Knife
  • Crayons

Preheat the oven to 350.  While the oven preheats use either a stencil or draw the desired shape with the pencil on the record. Place the record on top of a pizza stone or pan.  Put it in the oven for about a minute and take out.  While the record is still warm, cut out using the crayon line as your guide.

2. Put a cap in it

Materials needed:

  • Bottle Caps
  • Glue
  • Polyurethane

This one is pretty self-explanatory, but this is a great way to throw quickly up a wall design with the very little money needed.  Think outside the box with this idea and remember if you use super glue you might want to consider your security deposit.  For artists, consider this for outdoor murals or huge pieces or how you could work into it.
