I have been dealing antiques and liquidating estates so I have a lot of stuff destined for the landfill that will have an afterlife in my work like this sculpture “Celestial Quest”. :)
“Celestial Quest” tells the story of a lowly fisherman who falls in love with a beautiful princess far from his reach. He ponders how he might be able to win her love as he proclaims, “you have the riches of the world, Your ruby lips, emerald eyes, golden hair, such silky skin, how can I possibly win your love”?!!
The princess, thinking her request will rid her of him says, “Bring me the stars”!!
So, undaunted he outfits his ship to accommodate his new found quest, sailing endlessly following his heart not knowing if he can ever satisfy her….
