I made this purse for my mom, who has quite a purse fetish. I enjoy giving new life to old things, and I hate to throw anything away, so this was a great upcycle project for me. I was able to complete this project in a day, mostly using scraps and pieces of things I had around the house. By removing the pages of a large book, I was able to use it as the outside of the purse, and simply sewed a simple liner and glued it to the inside of the book cover with fabric glue. Add a strap–I got mine from a different old (and very ugly) purse I no longer wanted–and you are done!
