I am always pleasantly surprised by how many of my friends give me odd things to paint on. Some of my favourite pieces of work are the ones on recycled items that have been given to me or I have found.
Below you can see work on an old framed print (3-eyes), an unfinished school woodwork project destined for burning (Mermaid story), a discarded piece of timber from building (By the light of the moon), an old chipboard shelf (untitled) and a vase made from a plastic bottle covered in papier mache (Travels through time and space).
My name is Tracy Algar and I am a self-taught mixed media artist. I use acrylic paint, pastel, charcoal oil, pencil and ink in my artworks. All of my work can be seen on my website.
