Original abstract painting with acrylic and mixed media. A new life to the hubcaps abandoned by the side of the road, turning them from anonymous waste to unique and original articles of furniture.
The hubcaps have been thoroughly cleaned, but can have some imperfections like scratches or nicks; that adds to item’s charm. A final coat of varnish has been applied for protection.
I’ve collected old hub caps as mandalas on my wood fence. Now I’m inspired to do more, thanks.
Yeah, I could throw some paint at hubcaps too. That doesn’t make it art.
