Recartona is an entrepreneurship project by a group of young students of architecture. Team spirit and transparency are our values; our mission is to recycle tons of cardboard that are trashed every day and turn them into cardboard furniture that are customizable to suit your needs and tastes. Why cardboard? In addition to its availability, proven strength and low cost, the choice of cardboard is designed to encourage eco production and thus act on our Green Algeria tomorrow… with Recartona it ensures optimal comfort with minimal cost.
For our cardboard furniture, we use a fluting paperboard produced after recycling cardboard which is recovered outside. The production starts with the cutting of the cardboard sections which will serve as a structure for the furniture. Assembly is done with the nesting technique, and after that our structure is covered with a cardboard model. After this step, we begin to put a waterproof paint (certified NF) that respectful of the environment; we ended up putting a customizable decoration (patterns, calligraphy, etc …). Our first two prototypes took us 24 hours because of the difficulty in handling the card for a professional cutting and to have a perfect finish.

Pour nos mobilier en carton on utilisent un carton a cannelure BC qui est produit après recyclage du carton qu’on récupère dehors. La production commence par le découpage du carton en profilés qui vont nous servir de structure du mobilier, l’assemblage se fait par la technique de l’imbrication, par la suite on recouvre notre structure par un carton modeler, après cette étape on commence a mettre un peinture étanche (certifier NF) qui respecte l’environnement, on fini par mettre une décoration personnalisable (des motifs, de la calligraphie … etc) nos deux premier prototypes nous ont pris 24 heurs en raison de la difficulté a manier le carton pour un découpage professionnels et avoir une finition parfaite.
