This amazing chair is called American Pipe Dream Chair and it was designed by BRC Designs, a company founded by Benjamin Rollins Caldwell, based in Inman (USA). The main goal of BRC Designs is to transform unconventional materials (like copper pipes) into unique pieces of furniture. For this specific chair, Caldwell wanted to make a design using only copper because of thieves that stripped the copper out of one of his welding machines. Yes, nowaday, copper is more and more expensive and we are near the day when copper will be more expensive than gold! The thieves totally destroyed the welding machines of Caldwell for a couple dollars worth of copper…sad. But, following this unfortunate story, a beautiful chair was born!
