Egyptian Vulture From Recycled Household Plastics

I saw the magnificent Egyptian Vulture during a trip to Spain & wanted to do something to help promote the teams working to protect the birds: The Vulture Conservation Foundation. An impressive vulture that migrates hundreds of miles & is an important part of the ecosystem.

To create this Egyptian Vulture, I used detergent bottles, pegs & a discarded Van light casing for the base. I added some vacuum tubing for support and fancy round shampoo tops for eyes.

The body was formed using rivets & a glue gun. The build came together quite quickly. I have exhibited the Vulture at Wildlife Exhibitions.
