This is genius. Now if I could figure out how to maybe cut a different area so that I could hang them on the wall or from my curtain rod that has other craft organization hanging from it.
Maybe you can just reverse things and use the handle of the jug to hang on your curtain rod with hooks (if you want to move them from the rod…or yarn/string if you will leave them there all the time). Then just cut out a large enough section on the opposite side of the jugs handle for access to the pencils. Good Luck

@Kelly: Maybe you could cut a hole in the top (er, I guess it would be the bottom?) of the container big enough to put a hook in so that it would work with your curtain rod?

This is a very cool idea I use them to load up my color pens , pencils to Carrie them from my supply room to project table
thanks
I’ll definitely make this to my little ones, but I’ll put some tape at the cut edge, as someone comments…I love it, it’s a really and pretty eco idea…… I posted at reciclaedecora.com

Hi! What kind or brand of milk are these jugs from? The ones I found at Raplhs, Smart and Final and Bristol Farms don’t sit properly… They tilt on one side due to the lack of base.
Thanks…
