Great Egret, Plastic Re-creation

This creation started with recycle bin full of white household plastics & noticing that one bottle shape reminded me of a Great Egrets long flexible neck. I’d seen the birds recently & was very impressed by their beauty. I set about trying to recreate the bird using all the now useless plastic & make a visual comment about waste & the environment.

I decided that the dozens of plastic coat hangers left lying about after our local market closes would work as legs. Glue gun & rivets to hold everything in place to complete the bird.
