This capsule-shaped lamp has been skilfully made from a combination of waste plastic and wood diverted from landfill. The timber, native rimu, was salvaged from the renovation of a 1930’s bungalow and the plastic tube was collected from the waste of a local bread factory. This design has been a development from my previous “cylinder lamp” and demonstrates my intention to create more refined pieces.
It measures 20 x 45 x 14 cm and is intended for use with LED bulb only.
