Korean bicycle race history
Keirin first started in Japan in 1948, and was adopted as an official cycling event from the 2000 Sydney Olympics . The bicycle arena (Olympic Velodrome) built in the Olympic Park to host the 86 Asian Games and the '88 Seoul Olympics had no sharp utilization measures after the event. When the Olympic Velodrome was completed in 1985, about 13 billion won was invested in construction, but it was only used for about 15 days a year for various amateur cycling competitions.
