I made these Valentine heart decorations together with my two preschoolers. Start with an empty cardboard box and cut out a heart shape or as many as you want. I cut out three: two for my boys and one for me. Cut the hearts into stripes and paint each stripe into a different color. Once the paint is dried, put all the heart pieces back together and glue them to a BBQ stick at the back.
