Very simple computer hard drive, 5 1/2″ diameter platter lamp with three even high wood dowels, some rubber bands, light socket, lamp, wire etc..
Group wood dowel together flat and make 1/4 depth cut (thickness of the HD platter) evenly along the length on the wood. Make as many cuts as you have platters. Slide each platter into cut and put rubber bad to hold together. Pass a slender bulb in center and voila. Lamp can be hung, set sideways, or upright as a table lamp. Add a dimmer for the perfect mood.
