This is a beautiful rustic cordwood flooring, made by Sunny Pettis Lutz in her own home in Arizona. Sunny managed to create this floor from cordwood that comes from dead trees, so the whole picking process didn’t involve illegal deforestation. She used 2 different types of wood and created an amazing floor decoration that will surely inspire others to do the same.
Go out to the forest and harvest dead trees. In our area that means Juniper and Pine. We are using Shaggy Bark Juniper and Alligator Bark Juniper.
Beautiful floor, but can’t say the polyurethane is very eco and recycle.
Oh don’t be a killjoy :p Most flooring is far from eco friendly as far as I can see (I’m no expert). I think most wooden floors are sealed with polyurethane, aren’t they?
Though, it would be nice/fantastic if someone found a less toxic resin/filler !!!
doesnt say what filled in the gaps. But very nice.
Buena tarde, quisiera saber qué elementos usa para el acabado…
