When we go on our clothing buying trips, we ALWAYS find a ton of white clothing that obviously no one wants because white is really a horrible color to wear. Especially for kids! (Am I right?!). So we remedy that and create these Ice Dyed T-Shirts to make the clothing much more fun to wear!
Ready to make your own Ice Dyed T-shirts? Let’s get started!
Now we gather as many white garments as we can and just stockpile them for our tie dye days! We have been tie-dyeing for a while now, but we recently started experimenting with ICE DYEING! We were hooked. The vibrancy of the colors is really extraordinary, and the way they blend and shape are truly awesome. Gravity will help dye the cloth. As the ice melts, the dye will mix with water and then will drip onto the clothing. The t-shirts then get extra wet from the melting ice and create that cool watercolor effect with the dyes. It’s such a cool process!

For a fun, but messy project like this, how about a Pallet Work Bench! Here’s another way to upcycle old clothing – into a Family Quilt.

Cool post, but…. It would have been nice to see an “after” photo. How does the end result look different from traditional tie-dye?? What a tease! :)
I agree ,..I want to see an after photo!
