I have a good friend that is the head pastry chef at a local restaurant, she saves the wine corks for me, and I have been wanting to try this craft for a long time, and finally did. I have seen lots of folks doing this, but they typically don’t paint the tips of the corks when they are glued onto the ball. I used a styrofoam ball, but you could use an old baseball or tennis ball probably. It turned out pretty cool, I would recommend you paint the styrofoam ball before putting the corks it, and also be sure to get the correct size styrofoam, remember by adding the corks to it, it gets way bigger in diameter!
