Shiniti uses Dunks (sneakers) to create costumes, furniture and art forms. Her work is part of a collection entitled “Tenki,” a solo exhibition that will be on display from now till May 12th, 2010 at the GALLERY SPEAK FOR in Tokyo.

well as a piece of art it’s incredible, as recycling i am not sure if they were old shoes since they all look the same and as if they were new…

@kri : yes, it’s not post consumer recycled for sure…But sometimes, they work with excess material from production plants.

Agree, does not look like recycled but we put the response we already supplied on recyclart : “yes, it’s not post consumer recycled for sure…But sometimes, they work with excess material from production plants.” So, here we are not sure but it’s a good inspiration of what can be done with reused shoes… ;)
