Vertical Planters from Repurposed Picture Frames

I created these unique vertical planters from vintage wood picture frames. Using a staple gun, I attached plastic-coated wire mesh to the back of each frame, providing appx. 3″ of depth for planting. I also glued landscape fabric on the inside, to keep soil and roots contained. Finally, I filled them with sedum and succulents to make a truly one-of-a-kind garden display.

What do you think of my latest garden project? Please leave me a comment below. You can also browse my collection of vertical planter frames (and other upcycled creations) in my Etsy shop.
