I made this whisk lamp using over 300 wire whisks for a repurposing/recycling project. The shadows cast when lit are stunning.

Absolutely, lovely work but again probably not made from recycled objects, unlike the other work on her blog, which I am now following. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, there is a difference between recycle/repurpose creativity and creative use of everyday objects purchased for a purpose.I am often finding these things that do not seem consistant with the recycle theme.

That is so cool

Stunning! (Let’s see: 300 wire whisks from Dollar Tree or a $300 pre-made chandelier. I choose the repurposed version if it would cost the same anyway).

@ Jan : true, but in both cases, it develops imagination, that’s why it’s also interesting to share it. Recyclart wants to propose both approaches ! (but it’s a continuous feedback from readers who are attached to the fact that it must be REAL Recycling !)

I agree Jacque and I applaud the result. I must add however that I am taking it somewhat personally when I see these, and then egg carton art, when I have submitted ‘real’ recycle/repurpose peices of some quality never to be heard or seen of again. Yes, some taint of sour grapes, but not unreasonable.
