Eco Friendly Recycled Quilt Made From Repurposed Men’s Shirts

I love to quilt using unique and interesting fabrics and textiles. For this quilt I used recycled men’s shirts in many different colors, fabrics, patterns and sizes. I also constructed the ‘quilt squares’ using a modified traditional technique but instead of making each strip uniform, they are all cut odd shaped and free hand. This quilt embodies the true meaning of recycling because I have taken garments that had holes or stains, and labeled un-useable and transformed them into something wonderful and beautiful!

There are people on etsy who will do this for you with baby clothes, or funny t-shirts too.

LOVE this! Men’s shirts always have such great geometric, repetitive patterns – perfect for a quilt!
