An old television entertainment center was used to create a child’s play kitchen. The entire center was disassembled and re-built to the dimensions needed for the oven and refridgerator sections. The sink, hardware, and cabinet hinges were purchased used at a Habitat for Humanity Restore center. The oven and stove consist of re-used plexi-glass, wire shelving, pickle jar lids, and metalic aluminum paint. The shelf was constructed from scrap wood. Inexpensive battery powered lights were wired to a light switch to illuminate the sink area. The kitchen was painted with leftover paint from previous projects, with the exception of the aluminum paint which was purchased new.
