Ideas for a Happy New Years – 52 ideas for great resolutions!

We hope you already made good New Year’s resolutions. If not, here are the 52 things you can do to welcome the new year in for a happier and more productive year.  The Recyclart team wants to wish you a Happy New Years with our warmest, best wishes to you all for the next 364.5 days! May it be full of creativity and happiness.

  • Try rising early & stay on a schedule.
  • Do less (and don’t feel guilty about it).
  • Slow down.
  • Practice patience.
  • Practice compassion.
  • Find your passion.
  • Lose weight.
  • Exercise.
  • Eat healthily.
  • Meditate.
  • Get organized (could be an excellent Recyclart project or two).
  • Think positive.
  • Simplify your finances & reduce (or eliminate) debt.
  • Simplify your life: reduce clutter and negative influences.
  • Accept what you have.
  • Envision your ultimate life goals.
  • Set long-term goals.
  • Review goals (remember to break them down into easy-to-manage steps).
  • Set a Life Mission.
  • Plan your tasks and allow for some downtime.
  • Maintain focus; finish one project before starting others.
  • Enjoy the journey – the flowers still smell lovely.
  • Create a morning and evening routine – it’s healthier for mind and body – and good for relationships too.
  • Develop intimate relationships – rekindle healthy friendships and hold those dear to you a little closer.
  • Everything in Moderation!
  • Enjoy the simple pleasures – sometimes the best things in life are free.
  • Empty your inbox and clear your desk.
  • Build an emergency fund.
  • Keep a journal – don’t forget to write down some positive things about yourself or your life, and what you’re grateful for.
  • Use the power of others – it’s okay to ask for help. Sometimes others don’t offer because they don’t know what to do.
  • Turn off the electronics, spend time & read to your kids.
  • Limit your information intake – It’s okay to turn off the devices and have a quiet night.
  • Create simple systems – try to simplify things in your life.
  • Take time to decompress after stress – and don’t forget to pamper yourself sometimes.
  • Be present! Put the devices aside, make eye contact, listen and interact.
  • Develop equanimity – mental calmness, composure, and evenness of temper, especially in a difficult situation.
  • Spend time with family and loved ones. Share with them and give them time to share with you.
  • Pick yourself up when you’re down. Sometimes we have to be our own cheerleaders.
  • Don’t compare yourself to others. Set your own goals and don’t let others criticize you, either.
  • Focus on benefits, not difficulties.
  • Be romantic. Initiate! Be creative! There are lots of romantic date night ideas, even on a shoestring budget.
  • Lose arguments. It’s really okay.
  • Get into the flow. Don’t be afraid to join in!
  • Single-task.
  • Be frugal, but don’t be cheap.
  • Start small and slow.
  • Learn to deal with detractors. Learn to let go of detractors, too.
  • Go outdoors and experience it with those you care about.
  • Retire early.
  • Savor the little things.
  • Be lazy.
  • Help others. Especially when you feel down. It’ll help boost your own spirits!

Again, the Recyclart team wishes you a Happy New Years and many more amazing years to come! We appreciate having you as part of our community!
