To build these cardboard vases, I used recycled cardboard, glue, and varnish and experimental techniques. Cardboard and tinted plaster of Paris and varnish.
Both partly inspired by rough handicraft containers, often made from native plant material in different parts of the world.
Again dry cardboard and adhesive. It’s a lengthy process, particularly in the case of the large piece.
These cardboard vases have been exhibited in a couple of local art shows in Shrewsbury. U.K.
Dimensions: 36cm high for the larger one and 22cm high for the smaller one.
