Garden wind spinners made from upcycled license plates! Sometimes the simplest ideas are best.
Starting with old license plates, I carefully bent each side into a curve. Then I hung them from free-spinning hangers (the kind used for windsocks etc.) The S-shape catches any breeze. I love hanging one of these by my front door, which provides near-constant spinning energy to welcome visitors.
This project could be tackled by any DIYer, or you can buy a finished spinner in my Etsy shop. I also enjoy making custom spinners from people’s keepsake/nostalgic license plates.
