I created these adorable Plastic Plumbing Planters using ABS (plastic) plumbing parts from my local hardware store. Why not make a few of your own? As long as the piece will stand upright and drain out the bottom, any shape could work!
Here’s how to make your own Plastic Plumbing Planters:
- Use hot glue to fasten a bit of landscape fabric inside the bottom of the piece, a couple inches up from the bottom. (This will hold the dirt in but let water drain through.)
- Below the fabric, drill a few holes for ventilation. This is important so the underside can dry out between waterings.
- Spray paint with any color you like. For mine, I used metallic spray paints (brass, copper, etc). Be sure to use an exterior-grade paint (UV proof) if the plants will live outdoors.
- Fill with dirt and plants. Enjoy!
