Using a paste made of recycled eggbox papers mixed with glue, this solid Japanese snow monkey sculpture took 11 months to complete. The drying process is really slow. A lot of patience is needed, like the Japanese snow monkey, waiting for the winter to pass by! The paper had the natural color of the snow monkey.
It’s an homage to Japan and it’s people. The snow monkey represents wisdom, patience, and adaptability. These day’s, where we need to relearn from nature, there is still time for us humans.
The Japanese snow monkey learned and adapted in a harsh winter. They found beautiful natural pools with hot water, to escape from freezing temperatures.
The sculpture sizes are: h 47cm x l 22cm x w 20cm
