All pieces of ropes and strings which I found washed up on the beach were quite short, which narrowed my creating options. I pieced them together by hand stitching first and then wrapping a string twisted from a plastic bag around the joint places. I used a small shell as a toggle closure. The whole thing is a bit stiff and scratchy, as the ropes got hardened from the seawater and sun. I enjoyed the process and I’m sharing this idea for others to perfect.
