Why can’t I find directions for things on here not just your site anywhere

As far as can see, you can buy one of those thread holders that they sell at Walmart or Joanns. Then wire it to the ironing board or predrill some holes and put screws with a nut and attach it that way. You may have to make some adjustments to the thread holders if they are to wide. That’s the easiest way I see to do this.

Those thread holders are expensive to buy, surely we can come up with something to recycle?

If you come up with an upcycled idea to replace the thread holders, we’d love to see it! :D Thanks, Heather Stiletto.

This appears to be pool noodles cut in half/quarters and mini dowels placed on holes. Very i
inexpensive

I would also like instructions on this project. It is VERY frustrating to see something on Pintrest that you want to make and then not have access to instructions on how to make it!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a problem with the vast numbers of “bloggers” who pin this stuff up with not even the tiniest bit of instructions… Then never return to read questions in the comments section… Unfollowed!!!! I’ll figure it out on my own, so following is taking up needed space for those WITH instructions…..

It’s just some lathe or otherwise thin wood drilled to hold glued-in dowling for the spools. The drill holes at the end can be used to wire or bolt the wood to the ironing board, or it could be hooked to the ironing board’s lattice from the back.

Jo Diggle…what do you make of this?

Looks nice, but we all know that the truth behind crafting is having drawers full of chaotic ‘may be useful someday’-things.

And you really try to keep it organised, but then that moment arrives where you have a brilliant idea, can’t find your pattern paper and everything gets sacrificed because you NEED that NOW. To discover it was in the first drawer to begin with. And bye bye organised drawers. But you have pattern paper, so it was worth it.

The struggle is real :D :v

I think the wise thing for NEODIM to do is: NOT TOO LET ANY IDEAS TO BE POSTED UNLESS THERE IS INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED ON HOW TO DO THE IDEA. IT IS DOWN RUGHT STUPID FOR THEM TO PRINT SOMETHING THAT WOULD BE OF INTEREST TO PEOPLE AND NOT HAVE INSTRUCTIONS.

Sew316

What is you drilled holes diagonally and used extra long golf tees? that could help for some of the standard size spools and loads of bobbins.

Melinda
Melinda

The ironing board has holes so use that to your advantage…nut…bolt…washers attached to desired hole will work for the spool holder
