If I was to make one …… I see those cord connections between each slide are tricky! Is that elastic cord or string or ? How do you tie them?
Thanks for the great piece!

Those look like binder rings, maybe? Awesome idea.

all of the above .. elastic cord, string, binder rings should work. i’d think square knotting string all on one side could make for an added attractiveness.

i think they are jumper rings–can find them in the jewelry findings section of the craft store. saw something similar on a tv show. they make a lampshade using old slides. I LOVE these curtains though. might have to make some myself. now where to find slides :)

Saw this on your crafster a year or so ago, and loved it! Still wonder about the same as I did then, though – how much does this ruin your slides? Ie, would you say it’s better to buy someone else’s tossed memories in a thrift store rather than hanging up your own childhood memories? (Obviously, it depends on where you live, what direction the window is facing, etc. I understand that, but how well is your curtain holding up?)
Cheers!

The other question I have is whether the artist who made this *handpainted* every slide holder black. What a LOT of careful work! I have never seen slides that are black and I don’t think the effect would be the same at all in white, plastered with kodak and other logos…..
