I wanted to upcycle a painting that didn’t sell and turned it into an Upcycled Gift Wrap Wreath! I used ModPodge to glue chunks of floral print gift wrap paper to the canvas. However, you can upcycle cardboard or mat board scraps (or even thin wood) if you don’t have a painting. I completed my wreath in approximately two hours.

This idea is an ideal project with the kids. Let them create their own projects as decor for their rooms, too! With ModPodge, some leftover gift wrap, and some upcycled cardboard create a beautiful wreath for your home. Or, make a wreath as a lovely gift for a friend.
I used a leftover piece of artwork as the base for the paper. However, upcycled cardboard or thin wood scraps work well too.
Next, I chose a floral print wrapping paper for my cheery, spring-themed wreath.
I used a wreath frame that you can find reasonably at discount stores Alternately, use scrap wire and make your own.
Then I cut out sections of the wrapping paper and used ModPodge as the adhesive and sealant.
