I personally dug deeper into this photo because it spiked my curiosity, but the only evidence of this photo I found was a Facebook post which said it was the only existing VW rail bus that was based on the Volkswagen T1 diesel which was a well-known split bus. Also mentioned in the post was that it was a prototype. This evidence I have already stated does make it seem like this photo is real, but upon further investigation, there never was a VW rail bus that was double the length of a regular VW bus.
