Could this style also be done with rebar into the ground and the plastic pipe bent over and put onto the rebar? Is this feisable?

I have a similar one I have built using rebar. Just get 4′ pieces and leave 10″ exposed to place you PVC over. The rebar will run about 3 dollars each but makes it super sturdy.
