I had a bag of old miscellaneous keys that had been around for years. I decided to put them to good use. Not opening locks but to display them somehow. I decided to make a clock with them.
I found a round piece of partially rusted scrap metal that had a hole in it. I cleaned and sealed the metal, leaving just the right amount of rust on it to give the piece some character.
Then I adhered to a variety of keys and small silver-tone spacer beads to the metal. I attached a salvaged bicycle gear over the hole so that the clock mechanism could be held in place.
The final product turned into an item of interest. I consider this clock to be a piece of recycled art!
