I found these vintage hoe blades from the flea market. I had originally thought about hanging them on the wall as-is, or making sconces from them, but they are SO HEAVY. I decided instead to make table lamps. The base is made from hand-honed South American Soapstone that I acquired from a stone mason. The hardware is made from vintage pipes that I found at Urban Ore in Berkeley, CA. They weigh about 35lbs each and I rigged the blades so you can spin them.
