David Bowie Mosaic From Bottle Caps

The mosaic is in 4 panels, each measuring 23” x 58”. It consists of 6,996 assorted caps from bottles of beer, soda, soft drinks, but mostly beer, consumed by friends, and an extended network of eager consumers. There are also several vintage caps throughout. Each cap is mounted and tacked with a brad onto ½ thick blue enamel plywood. There are strategically spaced, drilled spots, so the panels can be bolted to the wall, directly. As a dedicated musician I wanted to create a tribute to one of my greatest influences, David Bowie. And so, this is my inspired rendering of my biggest idol.
