The world is drowning in free product totes. You know the ones… “free gift with purchase” or another favourite is the “gift bag tote” for when you attend the Academy Awards or for us lesser mortals when we attend a compulsory work conference. These totes generally have branding on them, which once that particular event is over, results in these totes becoming landfill.
This particular branded tote was found in a thrift store and I paid a couple of dollars for it. While I like the colours, I dislike the obvious branding. I decided to alter this tote by turning it into something individual, quirky and useable. With a combination of vintage, thrifting and contemporary fabrics, the tote is now transformed.
