Jewelry Made of Old Crown Caps

I love to transform crown caps in jewelry!
Some of them are just beautiful, with others stories can be told…The beads are stitched around the cap in different ways. I then use parts of broken jewelry, feathers and everything that is just small enough…

So glad to see a use for crown caps. I’ve been saving them but hadn’t found a purpose for them yet. If you have a moment, can you let me know how you affix the beads to the caps? The crown caps I have from champagne bottles are not flat, but have an angled side that covers the top of the cork. Are the beads glued onto the sides of the cap, or do you flatten the metal and poke holes for sewing the beads on? Thank you! –Lorraine

Hi, the bead are not glued, but sewed on. As the caps are different, you have to sort out, which attachment suits you best. You can glue them on felt, poke holes,…. Just play with them, that`s what I do :-)

Very cool. I would love to know how you flatten and then doom the caps like that
