“What does the library of the future have to offer? the public library in 2040 will connect people, places and information. the city is within the library, as the network of the library is in the network of public transport.
in the future, members will have access to the library through their personal device (fi. a mobile phone with special software).via a wireless signal you will be able to download information from the library database while waiting for the bus.
busstops with a shelter also have books and other analog information. you can pick up a book, read it while in the bus, and leave it at another busstop. in this way, people will spread books in the city.
bigger busstops (such as connecting points and the central station) will have rooms, accessible for non-members also. a librarian will be present. inside the bus is also a virtual database, you can upload a title from your libraryfolder and download other titles. this way, people can exchange through the public library.”

What a cool idea. People always complain that they don’t have time to read, and this idea sure finds time for us!

You can do this now and do not need special software, in fact most public libraries have had this feature for years.
We have this in Brazil.
people will miss their bus! lol how does it weather storms ect.?
I truly love this idea, but sadly most people have no concept of communal property and it would be destroyed in a matter of days.
Çà serait super
That almost beats the Little Free Library…almost!
I want a bus stop like this by my house!!!
i love it
