Plastenka is a creative girl who turns the trash from Budapest’s many restaurants into individually designed, handmade, unique and beautiful courier bags, lap top skins, wallets, etc. She also makes things to order. The production is all done by using local work-craft and is 100% eco-conscious, using local resources only producing functional and affordable products. Plastenka is also social aware, employing psychiatric patients otherwise left outside by community and high-school students taking vocational training in the production line.
Not only are the products helping reduce waste in a country where sorting your waste and recycling is almost completely absent, they are also brightening up the everyday-grey with their playful and colourful aesthetics, bringing a bit of art into the everyday-scene.
