The shorts were too short. The shirts had rips, or stained collars and cuffs … They were headed for the discard pile at a local thrift store.
So I combined them to make one cute little skirt.
It’s part of my whole frugal-meets-art lifestyle. It was a lot more fun than shopping and I hope it gets other people thinking about re-envisioning clothes destined for the discard pile. If it is getting thrown away anyway, what better raw material to use to learn to sew (or paint or mosaic or whatever)? So play and demonstrate once again that the hip green folks have more fun!
