No Monique, there is no frame used. She rolls the fabric and uses Floss to keep it in place. Very cool. :)

They are fabulous, any chance of doing a tutorial?

Do you sew the whole thing together, row by row? I’ve seen these with the fabric would around clothsline before and then machine sewed but yours look all hand done.
A tutorial would be good. I like the way the stitching looks on the inside :)

Ooops, s/b “wound” around clothesline.

Love these! I’ve been trying something similar myself – no rope, just fabric scraps and thread. I enjoy the process of stitching and using up scraps (beautiful scraps!) as much as the finished item.
How do you start a new bit of fabric? They look a bit like long fabric sausages! Do you join a new roll first or just place it and keep on stitching? Is it a kind of blanket stitch or more like crochet? A tutorial would be great.
Thanks for sharing your lovely works of art.
I think this post was made several years ago but like the others here I would love to see Erika show how she made her ‘bowlskets’. Not sure how these are made secure… Erika are you there?
LOVE these!!What were you using as a base to weave the scraps around?
I don’t wrap the fabric around anything the fabric is rolled up and coiled, no frame just fabric and floss
It would be lovely to have a sort of tutorial for your bowlsket made years back.
I don’t think you saw all the requests for one :(
I think they are from the hanging wire baskets. Fab idea, I will share on my page :)

All hand done, I’m thinking about doing a tutorial if I do I’ll post it here
