Upcycled Live-edge Fireplace Bookshelf

I turned old tongue-and-groove flooring, vintage spindles and trim, and live-edge gum-wood into an upcycled Live-edge Fireplace Bookshelf.

I started with tongue & groove flooring from an 1840’s Florida Cracker House. Next, I found vintage spindles and motifs. From there, it was just taking my time with the assembly. I gave the original paint a very light sanding with steel wool and applied a clear coat to protect it. Finally, I used a piece of live-edge Gumwood for the mantle.
